ALC Mission Endowment Fund
Mission Endowment Fund Request Guidelines
PURPOSE
The ALC Mission Endowment Fund was established in 2014 to enhance the mission outreach of American Lutheran Church apart from the general operation of the congregation. Individuals and organizations will be able to apply for grants generated by the fund’s income to provide resources for work furthering the mission of the congregation.
BUDGET
The amount available to be granted each year will be determined by the ALC Mission Endowment Fund Committee.
ELIGIBILITY
Anyone may apply.
USE OF GRANT
Grants will be awarded for the purpose of furthering work that is aligned with the mission, vision, values, and key Bible verses of American Lutheran Church;
- MISSION – Our mission is to worship Jesus and minister to the community of Stanley. Our purpose as people is to praise God and to live out love for our neighbors.
- VISION – We seek to have open doors and open hearts; to be a people and a place of peace, love, and welcome.
- VALUES – Inspiring proclamation, Christ-centered community, participatory servanthood, valuable teaching for all stages of life.
- KEY BIBLE VERSES
- Matthew 25:34-37 – Then the king will say to those at his right hand, “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”
- Hebrews 13:1-2 – Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Applications are to be submitted to the ALC Mission Endowment Committee. The entire budgeted amount may be given to a single entity or it may be divided among several applicants.
