Boy Scout Troop 357

campfireStanley Boy Scout Troop 357, which is chartered by the Lutheran Brotherhood, meets every Monday from 6:30 to 8 pm.  During the Summer, from June through August we meet at Wilson Park at the corner of Main Street and 6th Avenue.  The rest of the year we meet at American Lutheran Church.

We have a very active troop that enjoys a lot of what the Boy Scouts of America has provided to youth in this area for decades.  This includes:

  • Summer Camp at Camp Wilderness near Park Rapids, MN
  • Camping at White Earth Dam and other district and council sponsored camporees
  • Canoeing
  • Fishing
  • Biking
  • Hiking
  • Cooking

If you are interested in joining the troop or just checking things out or having a fun night with fellow scouters, come join us.

Boy Scouts prove themselves in an environment that challenges their courage and tests their nerve. After they’ve been given the proper guidance from those with experience and know-how, they take their own lead, going places they’ve never gone, seeing things they’ve never seen, and diving into the rugged world of outdoor adventure, relying on teamwork and character to accomplish what everyone else thinks is impossible.

Sound fun? If you’re a boy age 11, or at least 10 and have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, to 17 years old, the time for a real adventure is now.

The troop has been chartered by the Lutheran Brotherhood for over 65 years to carry on the scouting program for character development, citizenship training, mental and physical fitness. Troop 357 is one of the longest continuously chartered troops in North Dakota and has a long rich history of scouting, with many Eagle Scouts coming through the ranks over the years.
